I set off for work at 6am this morning and it was -5. Whatever you think of the K-series, nothing, but nothing warmed-up faster.

Enough K seal and the heat doesn't actually reach your feet though.

I've never used K-seal in a K-series.

Didn't it used to specifically say not to use one of the leak fix types of bottles on the Rover 2.7 or something like that? I can't remember any other warning for any other car but definitely a Rover of some sort.

I've never bought it, so I can't comment. Forte Stop-Leak however...
Those 2.7 V6s were both bomb-proof and yet incredibly sensitive engines.

I forgot, I used K-seal or something very similar in an Omega.
The 2.7 Honda V6 would run forever but needed regular oil changes and absolutely had to have replacement Honda parts to run correctly. I suppose it was an emergency stretch of the 2.5, so it was marginal on most things.

I found it, it was Radweld, not K seal.

"Why is Holts Radweld not suitable for a Rover 825 or 827? A. This statement was made by Rover to all manufacturers of radiator sealants, as it was considered that these 2 models could suffer a malfunction of their capillary housing unit, being narrower than other vehicles."

2 1/2 years on from replacing the head gasket I'm doing it again. I would/should have scrapped the vehicle and bought a Honda, Toyota or Skoda but price is too silly for me now.
Let's have a look how the folks who skimmed the head before my ownership put it back together.

(I didn't have the head skimmed when I did the gasket last time, it was flat. It did have minute pitting that now looks worse.)

Isn't the fix* a thicker ladder under the block, new longer head bolts & something about moving the 'stat on some models?
