Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I'm thinking of using sticky back neoprene to cover the central tunnel, I might just add an extra sheet to the order :)

It looks factory. You need to get your finger out. I can't wait to have a blast.

this wheel rub situation needs sorting - but how big a spacer to fit ? I reckon about 40mm should do it ?

by the looks of it, I'll easily get away with 35mm and there's a set of them on eBay just now with no bids :)

Top engineering there. I have 4" hole cutter that might have made it a bit easier.
I haven't seen a b&d scroll jigsaw for years.

handy but of kit, it belonged to my Granda - i inherited his tools and still get loads of use from them. he would have been fascinated with the exo build, I wish he could be here to see it.

many years ago, he had a little red Datsun Cherry that he loved to bits and was very proud of the sports steering wheel that he had fitted - when we were clearing his house, I found the very same steering wheel and brought it home - it is my intention to fit it to the Exocet as a tribute.

that's his tools on the top shelf, a power plane, jigsaw, sander, hammer drill and loads of bits / blades etc - all of it 30odd years old and still in good working order :)

(garage hasn't been that tidy for a while )

no idea why it snapped, there's no signs of wear on the belt, maybe a dud ? or over tensioned last time ? who knows, parts are on order anyway

Tensioner bearing? It can make them run out of line and snap as they rub on bits.
