It's an high mileage rough body work. My mobility and grip issues means I'm not as dexterous as I was and I won't put my friend out asking him for help when he has a business to run. An alternator is 90 odd quid and would also need a battery too. A lot of effort and expense to deal with muppets on Facebook for maybe another 100 quid. If I knew I could get 600 I'd do that but it's probably only worth 400 to 500 max because of its low trim level and overall condition.

My pricing maybe off but I cant see the value in it and being offered nearly 300 in scrap I'm more inclined to accept than put mental health through torture dealing with Facebook mongs.

Opinions welcomed. Van has developed a knock. Sort of a diesel hammering at around 2000 to 2500rpm. In a bind as I've spent a fair bit on it but I do know it needs a pas pump and mot due in a couple month. Don't want to get rid but between the knock, mot, pas pump and the fact its a manual I'm unsure.

Tried it with the PAS belt off? I've had some awful knocks & bangs from failing pumps before.

That is an idea but it doesn't sound like the pump. The pump is whining but the knocking is engine I'm pretty sure of.

Bad news. Vans gone. Went to Lincoln last night. Got 800 quid back for it. Not bad considering short mot,pas pump whining like a twat and the juddering. Now I need to replace it. But with what.......
Needs to be a big ish auto estate or hatch back or a manual mpv with hydraulic clutch.
