Err that looks a rather nice facility in which to work, can I apply for a council bungalow with attached workshop?

I'm no longer in the bungalow. moved a few week ago into a 3 bed house converted by previous owner to a 2 bed with ensuite and lift upstairs. On the outskirts of Matlock/Derbyshire dales. The unit is what my mobile mechanic friend has gone into as he said he's too old to be working outdoors on cars. The partner in the background is what we fetched the other day for 200 quid. Lots of bits have gone into my van, some engine bits have gone into someone's van like the turbo and injectors. I've got to take towbar off and get it on my van too at some point this week but I have to fix the Piwer steering first as the hose was leaking and temporary fix literally exploded. New from citroen the part is nearly 180 quid.

Nice, my other half was a primary teacher in Darley Dale which probably isn't a long way from you now!
Can you take the hose to Pirtek and get a new one made?

Pirtek is a good call, they'll crimp a new flexi section onto the original solid ends if needed.

Found a place just up the road. Dropped pipe off this morning. 2 new hydraulic hoses and crimped to pipe with new fittings for 30 quid. Got to pick it up around 12.

This reminds me, the XJR is weeping power steering fluid too. I must take a look under it & find out where it's running down the pipe from.
