Didn't expect the plates I know it happens sometimes but yeh

Started to clean the inside photos to follow,at the moment it was just soapy water there's no use using expensive products until all the muddy stuff has gone.

Though I am starting to find all the stuff now that's broken,doesn't work or missing completely like there's no windscreen wiper switch whatsoever?

I know there's a Linkage as I can pull them side to side outside of the van but not sure if there's even a motor

The original black and yellow Calfornia plates are worth a few quid in the US so a lot of owners keep the old plates to make a couple of quid like the previous owner of my Thunderturd did. That doesn't look too bad has it been in the UK long ? I expect the cold would of killed off any nasty spiders but be careful just in case.

Some states the plates go with the car (Minnesota) while others the plate stays with the owner and then sends it back to the DMV (New Hampshire). I think that’s because in New Hampshire the car tax is lumped in with house tax, while Minnesota its a separate thing. I’m sure it’s different again in other states.

Well the cleaning has commenced

Just used Stardrops to get run of the "Mud" layer

Here's a few halfy halfy shots







There seems to two heaters too the factory one under the small bonnet just blows heat on screen or feet and the large AC unit is after market but appears to do heat as well as air but it appears neither work

Eeny meeny miny moe which one should i try to get working?

I didn't clean the seats today but noted that there's an over cushion on velour over a vinyl base,I put my hand under the cushion to discover the vinyl seat is fully upholstered in vinyl which had me thinking



quite a few of them are broken or missing i might cut the others off releasing the cushion and see what the vinyl underneath is like?



If I like it I might work with that if not ill clean them separate then rejoin them with new buttons

Either way they should be easy to give them a deep clean

Oh did I say that somebody has nicked the sun visors and rear view mirror

You may be able to find the missing parts trawling Ebay for other similar trinkets that have also gone "missing" from ro/ro imports....

No absolutely not you should borrow my transit to get used to driving a big van and I'll tool about in the Dodge as a work van....

With LPG fitted there's no reason not to daily that, without LPG daily it anyway but not as far.

Aircon might be the old style gas and difficult if not impossible to get refilled now
