MK3 lwb diesel transit got the old 4 speed and overdrive box until they developed the MT75 to replace the fragile (in this application) type 9

Overdrive?

Rubber floor mats (no carpets)?

Vacuum powered wipers?

Less annoying tag line.
Saab 9-5 had Tape and CD until late. I think until around the one before the last (Dame Edna) facelift. Mostly because it had them integrated as one unit.

Brand New Defender comes with Rubber floor mats and plastic floors.

Overdrive? Presumably you mean a switchable unit in series with the drivetrain like the Laycock unit? Don't know but were they ever used on something non-British? I'd imagine the MGB probably was one of the last.

Overdriven gear ratios are pretty common and standard now on modern cars for efficiency reasons.

Vacuum wipers don't know but buses got air driven wipers for a long time.

In simple production car terms I can't think of a later application for vacuum wipers than the stubborn old Fords....Mk2 Ford production ended April 1962 and the 100E Popular in June of that year. Possibly something weird like US Postal Jeeps or Grumman vans may have persevered with them a bit longer than that....

The Scimitar GTE offered overdrive until the end of Reliant production in 1986 but I don't think the Middlebridge cars continued with it...

I had a very late e39 BMW with cassette in the dash and a cd multiplayer in the boot , 03 plate.
Didn’t some Volvo 740’s have a 4 speed plus overdrive ? I had a S1 XJ6 with overdrive when I was 19 and I was never sure if I should back off the throttle when flicking it in or out. Never driven anything with it since , so still don’t know nearly 40 years later!

The only thing I've ever driven with OD was a MGB & you had to back off as I think it was vacuum actuated. You'd flick the switch & it'd change as you lifted anyway.

I wonder what the last car with a pre-selector box was? I used to drive coaches with them & they seemed a great idea once you got used to it.

It's a long time since mines been on the road but I certainly never lifted off when going from 3rd to overdrive 3rd for example.
