Rootes managed it, though their clientele would have furled their brows had Americana found its way into the car.

I did a long overdue brake fluid change on the Austin. Suffice to say it needs changing before it gets to 8 years. Just got to strip and sort out the calipers but that won't take long.

In an attempt to cheer me up I took the old Ford out for a spin. Still plenty of recommissioning work left to do but it's been on the back burner and likely to remain there for some time. But, if our masters allow car rallies this year I'd like to take it to at least one.

That's a bit like finding out my neighbour had a Lea-Francis hiding in the garage next to my house for seven years. Blimey.

Anyway, fuck car rallies, just go and enjoy it.
