I seem to remember that some of the cheaper T2 ignition switches were pretty crap, a pain as they're not that easy to change. Mine momentarily cut the ignition which then resulted in a backfire.

I don't know about beetle ones but they might have the same problem.

How do you get on with JK stuff? I have had mixed experiences with T25 gear.

They seem to be generally better quality but VW quality has dropped, for example the chrome hubcaps, as I imagine using cyanide during the plating process is frowned upon for example.

They may still have some nos stock left from the load they found in South America a decade or so ago.
