There is a shrinky option on a lot of phones, but no idea how to do it.

I keep looking for a forum add-on to shrink them as they are uploaded, but can't find one for this version of the software.

Those are some rusty shitheaps you're working on there SB!

My td5 died of terminal chassis rust too. They're actually worse than series Land rovers.

Is there much in the way of bits n bobs left from that ZX?
A friend of mine owns a ZX Volcane and may have need of some bits.

The ZX is totally complete, the engine has had work and all new belts etc which is why it was removed in the first place.
I'll look into the tapatalk thing now cheers.

Edit. Balls. I'm on an old iPad I've been avoiding updating and it says I need iOS 11 to install it. Apple fuckers...

Ok, finally back up and running with a laptop and sorted the images. As you can see my mate is truly living the dream with and is surrounded by varying levels of old cars and a shack of a similar nature. It's a stones throw from the Severn Valley railway too so it comes with all the associated noises. There's a crossing close by too so when you're on the phone to him and the whistle goes it sounds like there's a train going thru the fucking house.

It's a shame as the ZX is pretty straight, if anyone needs any bits it's up for sale and comes with assorted spares. Interior is good, he has a couple of sets of Volcane alloys, another funky interior, spare turbo or 2 etc.
I believe the TT is up for sale too, it's a 225 version with a mild chip tune, has cruise control and a Bose system in it and the Passat 4Motion might be going too as he's not gelling with it?

Yep, that was me - for my V8 Disco's MOT just over a year ago (it's since passed another one a few days ago).

You're right, the 'chassis' is a composite of angled formers with thin sheet steel tacked on over the top. It's killing off Disco 2s like there's no tomorrow, which is a shame because IMO they're the nicest looking Disco variant.

This is the sort of shit I'm talking about. Here's the nearside chassis rail behind the rear wheel, viewed from underneath:

Grot removed, formers visible:

2mm steel plated over the top:

It needed patching in front of the rear axle too, probably the entire rear third of the chassis needed attention. The back end hadn't twisted out of shape though so I was able to bring it back to life.

That's still pretty crispy, fair play John for fixing it! Looks like a nice sturdy repair too instead of poxy little plates. As you say, at least it hadn't moved out of shape so you had something to work with still. The one I had a look at required a half chassis at the very least but was showing signs of going towards the front too. A real shame as the top of it looked great still but just not viable on a W reg at this point in time.

As for Land Rovers at least they stayed true to the same ethos from start to finish
