If garage snapped it shouldn't they replace it?

Not their fault if it was a seized 30 year old part.

He said he'd have a go at drilling it out. All I know is I've got a decent drill set and a tap set and I'm pretty good with jobs like that. I've got a fair relationship with the lads there and I don't think it'd hurt that if I had a go myself. The MOT tester/mechanic has said in the past that he can't believe how clean it is underneath and I'll never find another one like it, he likes the car and has had a few old pugs himself. A new pipe would be good tho!

That item has been suggested by one of the 405 lickers. I've messaged CLINT to see if he has one buried somewhere as they are just taking the piss price wise with 205 Gti tax and I'd rather he had the money instead.

It's been pretty well looked after but these things happen, the lads not an animal. There was nothing wrong with the antifreeze, it's not rusty mud in the system but it was due a change, sadly the part pictured thought otherwise. I only changed the original glow plugs last year, there are plenty of old parts on it!

Although there is a problem :( The pipe pictured did have a bleed in it, well it still has technically but it's now in two bits.

Okay Peugeot part no. 1351R2 (the entire hose) appears to be still available at 62 Irish yo-yos when I checked the servicebox.

Alternatives for the entire hose are SASIC SWH0479 and possibly IMPERGOM 224235 around the £40 mark.

However, as you only need the bleed screw, I wouldn't bother with a used Pug part for £8. I take it's plastic? I think it's M6x1 thread. How about asking you Renna dealer for 77 00 518 589 and use a fibre washer or rubber o-ring.

or if the Pug man is local 1306 29 (M6x1 brass bleed screw, 18mm long) again with a suitable washer.

Fuck me! I have on a heated flange on this DAF66 32EHSA Solex carb, not FOUR FEET FROM THIS DESK.

The one I was thinking of, was on my Ovlov 343 on a three-way piece (which is omitted on the DAF)

Fuck me Eddie you are thorough  Cheers :D Someone on the 405 page has got a few spare and fingers crossed is going to sort one out this evening. I do like the idea of replacing it with brass, that seems like a much more sensible idea. When I get the old part off/back I'll have a measure up, ta.

Edit.

Looks like they might do the job, except the haven't got that bit of a return that the plastic bit seems to have? I'll have to pop to the car and have a closer look I think.

I've found a couple of places advertising the pipe new but not really feeling flush enough to be spending 50 quid on one at the mo.

Look at both the Renna and Pug brass ones, they have a hole up the middle and cross-drilled.

The ones linked are solid DIN653 thumbscrews. Just need drilling!
