Well, it's just evenings and weekends hobbyist stuff really.

I'm trying to pick up the pace a little though. Dunno if I'll make September at this rate though.

Wired in, tested. Tuned for maximum volume and a slight discord.

Take one nasty looking wing.

Orbital sander, wire brush, derusting solution and paint later:

Buzz it down with orbital sander, down to 220 grit fine. Then wire brush takes up some of the scratches.

Apply kurust

Then spray paint. Enamel is really very forgiving.

The only thing I would consider in this is Kurust is fairly thick stuff and really needs to be gently rubbed back once it's dried else you end up with brush marks under the spray paint.

Gonna be hot and windy with a bunch of rain, starting tonight.

Hopefully storm Barry leaves the roof of the garage alone (and the house!).

Removed the access panel because I had a few minutes.

Yup, supposed to adjust the valves through here. Possibly easier than trying to do it leaning over the side of the car.

Shall clean and paint the panels, reassemble.

Hurricane Barry came deliver a broken garage door and some roofing panels that stated to lift up. Now gone, work continues on the car.

Cleaned down the chassis leg on the driver's side, painted and undersealed.

Just got a bit to clean up by the driver's kick panel, paint, underseal all the front of the body where the wheels kick up dirt, then paint that.

Then, get as much back on to the car as possible, I really do need to pull the fan out and test the motor, but that's gotta come out of the bottom of the car (silly design).

Then, split the engine from the gearbox, clear the workbench, lift the gearbox up and rebuild it.
