I will overcome the hurdle-matics.

Correct parts requested, incorrect part boxed and to be sent back for credit.

Hopefully that'll be here Tuesday, Wednesday

Well, at least replacement wavy washer is good. The old one.. half of it was good, half of it had become chewed up in the reverse gear planets.

Didn't have a whole lot of time last night to do anything on the car, but did try to make an effort.

I installed and tested the brake light switch. It works.
Today's burned up with other things but this weekend I hope to get a chunk of the wiring done on the car.

The driver's side park and turn light was a mass of bundled wires, Scotch-Loks and butt connectors. Lopped all that crap off and put on some color coded bullets instead. Loomed that all up also.

Got the front harness built, loomed and connected up to the headlight circuit, tested. Next up I need a couple more wires of different colors to connect the horn and a few other things.

A large amount of this happened today.

The fixing of various bulb holders occurred, some used eyelets which are easy to unsolder, clean and reassemble the bulb assembly as good as new.

Ash tray light rebuilt. Also did the glovebox light and rebuilt the glovebox light switch. Wired in to the fuse box and headlight switch.

That means this occurs when the headlight switch is pulled.

Also if you pull a bit further this happens. Pushing the floor switch makes the high beam come on. Superb.

Tail lights work, as does the horn.
Tomorrow hopefully I'll decode the turn signal switch and get the indicators, brake lights and rear turn signals operational.

Great stuff as ever.

Was watching Kindig Customs the other night where they played with a '62 cheepten. I know its a much later model but a comment was was made about Chevrolet parts being a good substitute for Pontiac parts.

Mind you I could be talking bollox as the Junk will no doubt let me know.

What do I know about GM tat except Corvettes?
What I do know, though, is that the last Chieftains were made in 1958.
