There's some oily shit on the windscreen, clean it with vinegar and newspaper or kitchen roll. Then do the same with the wiper blades.bub2006 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 4:56 pm Fitted new wipers to the pug 2 month ago and smeared from day 1. The damn reason why I replaced the old ones. Today I went and fetched some more. still fucking smearing. Jack through windscreen and a windscreen insurance claim is next unless someones got a good fix idea.
What did you do today?

Something called car plan screenclean. Smells like vinegar with a microfiber clothSiC wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 7:24 pm What are you cleaning it with? I've always previously cleaned my windscreen with autoglym glass cleaner or regular house hold cleaner. Then bought some reasonably expensive stuff. Does a fantastic job but a lot of work. I think the better stuff have a mild abrasive in it.
Also have the wiper arm springs gone a bit limp?

I've always bought champion rainaway wipers from geejays for 2.49 each and have done great for cost. Thought I'd treat Peugeot a few month bike to 15 quid a pair bosch ones from motor factors and were shit from the off. Replaced the smearing driver side one again today with the 2.49 champion one.Sheddy wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 8:09 pmPresume you mean there is a crack in the windscreenbub2006 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 24, 2020 4:56 pm Fitted new wipers to the pug 2 month ago and smeared from day 1. I never seem to get a pair of wipers that don't smear, those on my van were shit from the get go- Halfrauds but I was fucked if I was gonna pay near on £40 for a Bosch pair. Perhaps I need to try rubbing a jack over the screen.

I'd lost my 7/16" and a single replacement was $4.95, these were $9 for the set.

That's why I am still happy to sit the wrong way in the T25 and eat off my lap.
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......
