Bloody hell BMH, that looks, er, 'interesting!'
Mind you, many years ago (and in Scunthorpe so says it all really) I used to get a lift to Hull with a bloke with a rotten as fuck Cortina, he had the rear brakes clamped off with mole grips as there was a leak somewhere, didn't slow him down at all (in either regard!)

I fitted some 16v rear lights to the Golf, and also some clown had 'deleted' the rear wiper and put a rubber grommet in the hole, so i bought a new linkage and a wobtastic wiper arm off a Fiat Marea Weekend so it can lay flat, and fitted all that
