What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

I miss those days. I used to spend at least one day a week at the scrappy.
What is it you're after?

It's a very long time since I've been to one but the cars there were invariably as rusty as fuck but you could usually get decent engines and gearboxes.

Some minor things like the air filter housing, front speakers, trim etc, whatever falls into my pockets as well. Shame it's blue, if it was paint code 43U, apple green metallic, then the doors, bonnet, tailgate might be heading stage left as well.

I long for the days of filling my pockets with fuses and bulbs 🤣.
I used to love wondering about the history of the cars.
When I was about eighteen I once bought the entire head with carb and manifold off a 1275 metro for £20. I replaced the head on my 998 with the bigger valved one. The car was never the same again and used to belt out white smoke when I booted it. I put it in px for my only financed car. An F reg metro city in white. I got £400 for it iirc.
F46HCN the only number plate I've ever rembered.

Edit G799EPR is a other that I swapped about 10 years ago.

Home bargains does half a dozen bulbs with various fuses for £2.50. There's an h7 and h4 along with indicators and brake lights etc.

I wouldn't know where a home bargains was tbh, I avoid shopping as much as possible. Maybe I'll order a made in cunting China set off Ebay instead? That's the second H7 in the V50 as they are on all the time because of the absolutely fucking ridiculous headlight setup.
