Re: What did you do today?
I've found the big end bearings on my replacement engine are shot and the crank is scored.

Re: What did you do today?
The fact all my Triumph OHV motors are fucked in the same way is suggesting a weak point in the design...
The replacement engine was free and of unknown quality to be fair.

You'll just have to give up on it and get a modern car on finance...

Like this?

Who wouldn't want a crossland X (does the x mean anything special?) for £140 pcm? Especially with the 83PS of immense power under the bonnet!

It's not the end of the world, maybe £150 for a crank grind and shells, are the main bearings ok?captain_70s wrote: ↑Tue Sep 10, 2019 6:31 pm I've found the big end bearings on my replacement engine are shot and the crank is scored.

Re: What did you do today?
Sent the broken ioniq into dealers last night, got it back today. Apparently no throttle response when on bypass trying to pass a lorry, thumping into first gear and abysmal fuel economy is down to ECU needing an update. How fucking often are updates needed? Car is 3 months old with 3.5 k on the clock.
