That is what I used in the corner and it did stop the leak for a bit. However, I think it is only really effective on perished, cracked or dried rubber rather than what is essentially a new seal. It is good stuff, though, so I may use the rest of it up elsewhere around the rubber and see if it helps.
I started to address the Bedford's leaky core plug. When I took off the breather pipe I spotted the Simon Mayo and it didn't get any better when I whipped off the rocker cover.

Off with its head, there's been a bit of blow by between the cylinders and a straight edge confirms it's slightly warped.

I'll replace all the core plugs with the manifold out of the way, but what about that dynamo bracket? It looks home made and even I would have rounded it up a bit, but that's the standard issue Vaux part. (I welded the smaller bracket onto it for an alternator, looks dainty even though it's thicker than normal cars use)
