What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Just been back out to it, still trying to close/open the fuel flap lock, with the fuse for central locking removed ...

If you want to swap a working MX5 for what is currently, a broken Porsche, then, yes.

If I fix the Porsche, GTF.

I never had any trouble with it and did have the battery go flat once. Put a jumper on the bit in the fuse box which should allow the bonnet to be opened. That was a few years ago now though

I would, if the shitter would let me open the bonnet.
It has lost the plot, won't jump off the designed post for flat batteries to open, can't find the cable everyone else can and to top it off, it just spent 15 minutes trying to close the fuel flap lock, constantly.
All from a fucking flat battery!

Boarded up the garage again because it was getting really windy.

Now it's calm. This is the first "eye", one of three this frontal system has, the "official" one is the second, which is in back of this, due tonight at about 1am.

Then, the humidity begins.

Hope it passes you by with no damage. Out of interest is that the usual way of doing things rather than build to withstand storms without additional reinforcement?
