What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Especially when I'd sent them an email prior and subsequently held a conversation over the phone before bringing it down. The old man was implying he would only take it in as his son has so said in that conversation. I said 3 times that I'd happily drive it home and not convenience them further.

I think so, I would walk away from that.

Renewed the A4 and Boxster insurance. £245 and £168 per annum respectively.

Getting older does have a few advantages.

Back starting to feel better so had a quick tinker with the Vel satis. Checked alignment again and turned it over with coil packs disconnected. Connected coil packs and it fired instantly and revs perfectly. On ran briefly as no pulleys or covers on and engine sat on a block of wood. Guess I need to start reassembly tomorrow and pray it runs ok on a test run

Hardly a squeak from fb or gumtree on the mazda. Very odd.
I'll give it a few days and I'll wrap it up and garage it again.
I might just buy something else to mess with. Something that won't turn to dust parked outside.

And you have reduced it by £500 too. I guess most who wanted one have bought their summer convertible already.

Buy a mk2 mx5 with the original cat, weigh cat in for about £800, then fit a sports one. Run for summer.
