What did you do today?

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Can you not build a carport between the house and that wall?

Unfortunately part of getting planning consent to convert it to a house was the removal of permitted development rights along with the no visible external changes. I had to get consent to change my sash windows to sash windows, also for the gates as they are now 6 feet high rather than 3 feet high so a carport is unlikely to be allowed.

Luckily a few phone calls has found me a car storage place in Cardiff around the corner from my neice, so if I want to take it out to play over the winter I can leave my car at hers.

I am making a list of immediate jobs that I want to do to it. First is to remove the pristine carpets and put rubber mats down, also sort the choke cable out. Some of the lights aren't working so that will be fun. Tonight will see how much it leaks when left out.

Well I have fixed the non working lights, it was just dirty fuses (just like a Land Rover). The choke cable is jumping out of its slot by the carb, I need my little spanners to sort that out. Will probably take it out for a trundle around tomorrow and get some super unleaded in it. Also need to get some ethanol resistant petrol hose for it.

It really is too nice for me. I'd be happier if it was more scruffy, but it probably soon will be once the dogs go in it.
I need to get a dog guard made.

They're designed to be used. Fuck it and let the next owner worry about that.

I know, but I hate being the one who ruins things, part of my upbringing, where I was taught I didn't deserve anything nice.
