Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Right, I undid that nut on that little bit with the hoses on the vottom of the tank. Obvs it started pissing petrol everywhere and my idea was to bung it so I could remove the part. But there's a needle coming from the outlet of the tank into the part so I couldn't bung it.
I re attached it and tightened the nut. Now there's petrol pissing out of that feed pipe continuously.
What the fuck is going on?

Did it look like this?

TBH the float needle should stop the fuel flow anyway even if the tap is stuffed.

Yes, I'm not but it had come off and was sticking out of the tank not the tap.
I've put it back together, what a fiddly bastard. I've kicked it over a dozen times and nothing. The float bowl is full. The battery is nearly flat so I've out it on charge and fucked it off for the day.

I'm not sure if the bike is 6 or 12v. The battery doesn't say.

Don't think a wee pinch of 12v would do something like that any harm, or are there futuristic electronics on it?

How are you charging it if you don't know the voltage? a 12v charger would fry a 6v battery.
