Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Bloody hell it must be scary.
The Buccs used to fly under washing lines when they got the bit between their teeth. Some of the Red Flag flying is incredible, only missing the washing lines.

I was reading some by an ex-Bucc aircrew the other day about bomb comps in the US. He was saying they had to increase their normal flying altitude over the flat desert from 10ft to 20ft to reduce the dust trails that were giving them away.

Probably helped during Desert Storm as I think that they were still in use then.

I think Buccaneers went lower.

Chap who was at my wedding had to practice his low flying quickly at the start of GW1.
Used a Buccaneer, got an earful for the panel damage on the underside after flying up a couple of Lochs.

Look up what the Vulcan Crews achieved during Red Flag.
Making grooves in the dirt with the wing tip.

Meanwhile jump to 1.53

When I was at Secondary Modern school, we used to regularly have bucks fly over low, at big speed.
You could watch them for miles, because there were only fields and no houses once they passed over the school, so they would stay low.
I would always be the kid who would run to the window just to watch and be told to get back to my desk.

I'm convinced that they did some flights off carriers with a maximum altitude achieved on the approach to land.

Considering the complete crap that Blackburn tended to produce it's almost like they let out the designers they considered to be loonies to design the Buccaneer as a final gasp.
