I like this and it's worryingly local - but I have just said we can't afford a new boiler.

Also no idea where the reserve might be set - thankfully too high.

Well I guess you never know until you look under cars in person...

... but I presume you are more referring to the Eddie Peaks that I've just noticed it has.

This is down the road and I think I might have posted this before?
Anyway it was £2500 yesterday and now reduced to £2k. Looks a bit tatty and probably why its reduced. However its apparently been used on the road. It does scream of someone owning a classic and running it on a shoe string - especially those "novel" door pulls. Possibly a younger hipper type owner going by the "South West", "Billabong" and Kernow stickers on it.

Tempted to take a look if I get a chance tomorrow. Still think the one I am supposed to be eventually getting is better. Also think this one is still about 500 quid overpriced too and tbh I'd be wanting it for a grand (which the dealer I bet won't).

Any progress with "your" minor to report? What were you saying about them arguing who actual owns it?

Can't remember what I said last or where I said it.

Bloke selling (grandson-in-law of the original owner) got the executor to say he owned it. So got an update receipt with that on.

House exchanged contracts got told on a Thursday and said it was completing on the Wednesday. Car was moved to his friends farm. I went down on a Friday to pick up what I could. Left two engines as I couldn't lift them. He said he'd come back on Sunday and deliver them to mine. On Sunday got told that I need to pick them up myself and he'll deposit them at his friends farm with the car... (Pissed me off a right treat that did but I suspect it was his FiL that owned the van that said no to delivering)

He said DVLA told him that it was going to be 4 weeks to process instead of the 2 weeks the form says. This week is 4 weeks. I told him that he has a very slim chance of getting it through. He agreed but said the family expectation was it would go through. Also said he regret getting involved.

So I currently have 2 diffs, 4 A-Series heads, carbs, manifolds, su pumps, prop shafts and the like. At least I have something for my £150 so far and probably worth more than that.

I'll probably get it eventually but well and truly fed up of being messed around with. Not least I didn't even knock him down on price. Problem is, for the money it's a pretty good buy still. Car itself has solid floors, interior in good condition and a 1275 engine. Spares are useful and worth money too.

Also in truth I haven't had any time to work properly on cars recently. So even if it was here, it'd have been sitting with the occasional thing fiddled with.

I'll message him later in the week asking where they're at.
