This appears to be still for sale and now £700. I think that's pretty good price for something that hasn't completely collapsed from the 50s.

Good bloody job I don't have a barn. Also frustrating as if the house chain hadn't collapsed, I would have moved by now and thus taken it on.

A running '50s motor at that price isn't going to happen too often. Lame excuse I know, but I am semi-retiring next year and need to reduce my fleet, not add to it. That is crying out to be left alone but I am afraid at the price the poor girl is open to all manner of cuntery.

If I wasn't permenantly on the verge of bankruptcy I'd go down with a 20L jerry can and a hose and drive it back, for maximum collection adventure.

Sadly I reckon it's going to end up being bangered or given the matt black "rat rod" treatment.

What's with the mX5 engine bit?

I seem to remember Practical Classics re-engined a Dolomite with one as well.
