Essentially I want something older. The Dolly is a late 60s design, the Acclaim a late 70s one, I'd like something designed in the 50s.

I try not to have cars that are too similar to one another, the Dolly and Acclaim are the same size but worlds apart in how they feel to drive. The Volvo is several market segments higher so is different again.
How about Mally’s Moggy on the beige? That seems cheap for a car you can drive home and there must be more spares availability for these than anything else.

I keep thinking about that with a jack up kit at the rear and wearing a set of slot mags...

If it has RS200 running gear then it's a bargain.

I'd much prefer a red Spitfire, but yellow is almost acceptable.

It'd have to be white for me.

I think he might have missed a nought off. RS2000 came in that flavour. I had a go of one back when they were new and it was very underwhelming. My modded fester super sport was way quicker and nimble. I did used to run 1.1 boxes though.

This is nice. For nearly £11k though there are other cars I'd much rather buy though.

Convinced myself I need one of these now. Likewise Spitfire, but I am imagining a Midget is a better drive.
Close to my mingebag bidding limit. I suspect the reserve is quite high on this - like £8k plus. I think many of the cars they list on there have very high reserves.

In my mind, I don't really want to spend more than around £3.5k on one. Probably unrealistic price, but usually if I stick to my guns and hold out, something decent* around that comes up eventually.

The seller fees are 500 plus vat so there won't be any bargains. Just look at the prices I got for the 3 I just sold I had them all up for sale not far off the prices car and classic got me without a sniff. In my opinion the Spitfire is a better car.
