Put an engine from one rusty bunch of shit into another just as rusty piece of shit. Also no way that ever could be legal.

Only a ridiculous price on this one. Makes a change for the insane amounts they go for.

I'll never forget chasing one back from Gaydon in my BGT. He had me on the hills but there wasn't a whole lot in it. Corners I had a few more balls to chuck it in and kept up. I bet if mine had a few light tweaks like improved head or even high lift cams etc, they'd be even.

I do like MGCs, with a few tweaks they make a great car.

I'd rather stuff a V8 into a BGT. Slightly lighter but significantly more power (~80% more?) and nicer noises.

If it's a genuine University Motors special that's good value as they do go for a lot more than the normal C in my recollection.
The V8 is supposed to be a lot lighter, being about the weight of the B series so apparently you don't get all the C understeer.
I haven't checked but I think the standard C was about 145hp and most of the Downton ones 175hp. The factory, not Costello, V8 was 137 as the gearbox was the limiting factor.

MOT emissions to age of engine at that year of vehicle (changed for newer stuff now)
No idea how 4x4 would work.
Navaras are weird not all of them rust in the same way.

MGC will be nice until it melts the last couple of pistons due to lack of cooling.
