The MGC was the high-water mark of the MGB range. Its very easy to remove a significant amount of weight from one. Allegedly.

Or the Aussie Ford's and Valiants that somehow got made out of thinner steel when they were ordered by the factory race teams - then they acid dipped them to lose a bit more...

That was for sale with a different seller a while ago made 1600 on ebay. The buyer went to pick it up but said it was a total shed and bought the other one the bloke was selling. The paperwork is suspect and the guy who looked at it said it was rotten with a blowing exhaust amongst other faults. I was really interested in it but the seller was very dodgy about the paperwork. I see it still isn't UK registered but does have some poundland trims and a good clean. still not worth 2k mind let alone the 4 1/2 he wants.
