Re: EBay Finds
I don't know them. The montessa I had, had a Kawasaki 175 replacement engine. It's the only trials bike I had. Moved onto DT 250 and XL 250S then XR 200R and briefly a PE 250 then got a car when I was 17. That was me for a few years until I got into sports bikes in my late 20s. I do fancy a trials bike now though. Almost got a Sherco last year but the deal fell through.

When I owned an early Dodge Caravan I lived on a steep hill and the Dodge would lock in park due to the gradient.

Re: EBay Finds
That PE is worth mental money now, the DT and XR aren't too far behind, if we only had the benefit of hind sight and didn't actual have to sell things to buy the next one's..Drum wrote: ↑Fri Feb 26, 2021 10:39 pm I don't know them. I really like that and never heard of one before.SiC wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:27 pm Local Yank importer has just got this in. Kinda cool imo.
Does this need an MOT when imported before going exempt, or are they automatically exempt when imported?
What's realistically left to get the paperwork sorted? Says Nova needs sorting. I'd thought they'd have sorted that?

A quick trawl local to me turned up all sorts from different years.
Starting at around $2k for a wreck from the 50s to this which seems top of the tree...

1970 Ford ranchero GT Cobra no less!
I still think I prefer the honestly of the one in Nailsea though!
Edit: and did they ever get hit with the ugly stick in the late 70s!

Yeah I think it looks cool, especially that year. That shape appears only around for two years too. I didn't know the yanks even got Ute type vehicles.Broccoli wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 5:25 amI really like that and never heard of one before.SiC wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 10:27 pm Local Yank importer has just got this in. Re: EBay Finds
From memory the Ranchero was more usable for work than the El Camino which strictly speaking had a payload of about 2 surf boards and maybe a BBQ if you didn't put to much food onboard.
Also see South African Holden's badged as Chevy's these are a proper work Ute.

Re: EBay Finds
Oddjob’s Ranchero , even though it was one of the downsized Falcon ones, seemedOK with about 3 tonnes of crushed Clapdoor Continental complete with dead gangster and a boot full of bullion. They did get bigger again as seen by the eBay one, although my favourite iteration was the ‘ Starsky’ Torino shape one .DodgeRover wrote: ↑Sat Feb 27, 2021 10:54 amFrom memory the Ranchero was more usable for work than the El Camino which strictly speaking had a payload of about 2 surf boards and maybe a BBQ if you didn't put to much food onboard.
