Actually, I would like to go off in a proper clown car. Steam from the rad cap by the end of the first street, followed by the front wings falling off, then a door and total collapse of the rear axle at the cemetery. A 1953 Prefect with the bootlid down and no rear seat should take the coffin OK.

Now it’s back for sale would you recommend it or are you glad to get shut and happy never to see it again. How reliable was it when you sold it?

I was glad to see the back of it as it cost me a fortune, but it should now be pretty reliable. The guy drove it back to Suffolk from Somerset with no issues. I moved the seat back a couple of inches so it was almost comfortable to drive as well. It does still need a lot of tidying though to get it really nice. The bugger still hasn't returned my ACO grille badge and doesn't mention the exhaust blow from the front pipe and manifold so maybe he fixed it. I was quoted 200 quid to make the front section in stainless which it needs and new gaskets on the manifold. I may also of found a previous Spanish owner of it from some years ago. He commented on some pictures of it on a Spanish hearse site, but facebook translation is really shit so I am not certain if its the same car.
If anyone is any good at Spanish this was his reply.

It certainly looks the same and it had been many colours in the past including that grey. The stickers on the windscreen also look about right. It did also come with the cross mounting plate to go on the bonnet so maybe it is.

I googled "funebre MIRSAN" and it looks like they were serial Seat molesters.

That extended one I think belongs to the guy who I thought had owned my one. From the dreadful translation it appears he didn't own mine but had seen it before when it was in Barcelona and mentioned that the owner at the time didn't look after it just did the bare minimum to get it through the ITV

Hi thank for that. I asked if it has any issues he said it does have a small blow on the pipe next to the manifold which was it’s big deal but that’s about it. He said you fixed the ball joint mentioned on the MOT. I am slightly concerned he is offloading it so soon after getting it. - I tried to PMyou rather than fill this thread up but could not see how :)
