Wasn't a bad price for one, considering what they have crept up to now.

I guess what many see the same in classic Minis, these boxy Volvo's are always going to be cheap old bangers to my eyes.

Deffo a car for the well-to-do giffer. There are a few still floating around Glasgow's affluent West End in the hands of people who likely bought them new. Volvos are essentially the only pre-90s car I see on the regular, with a few 200/300/700 cars kicking around locally.

700 series estates worth having for under a grand are becoming increasingly scarce. Mine was cheap because it is has no history, shit paint and is made of bits of various cars thrown together.

On the flipside there is only one area of rust that needs addressing. Namely the floor around the driver's side chassis leg/jacking point. This is usually the first place these cars go and is all flat plates.

Elderly volvo estates are satusless. A decent thirty year old one wouldn't look out of place outside a stately home or up to the tits in paint as a decorators van.

I liked them when they were 100 quid bangers and disposable. Really not worth the money they go for now. So much better cars for what you spend for one of these.
