First time I've got something 3D printed and quite happy with the result. Couldn't be arsed to have a crappy home unit as inkjet printers are enough of a bastard to me for clogging and generally going tits up when you need them. Much easier to farm that part of the job out.

After giving it something meatier to chew on the shredder gave up about a week later. Back to the drawing board.

Haven't done Jizz's farty exhaust yet...I want to keep it on until at least St Paddy's day for the third anniversary.

Got some long metric combination spanners.

A bit.

Last used last April to get to work and the driver's side front spring went pop. Whilst parked over the road one night at 10.30pm it went bang which turned out to be the other side. So two front springs for starters. That's before the wafery-thin rear pads. A fucked nearside bonnet hinge. A bonnet release cable. Clutch will need doing eventually. Need to refurb the alloys, which is tricky as one needs straightening a bit and trying to find anyone prepared to deal with a blind-centre rim is proving fruitless here.

Plus I need it to through a NCT test. Which should be fun*

ETA: Given that it got a Ross-extension of 4 months to 4th August 2020, if I take it in now, it'll only get a ticket until 4th August 2021. If I test it after 7th May, it'll expire 4th August 2022

That's a good fair bit of work then. The clutch was always heavy when I had it but when I googled it apparently it's common.
I remember pulling up to a high wall in my last transit with the window down. The drivers side spring went 'pop' as you put it.
I thought I'd been shot and nearly shit myself.

Jizz exhaust started blowing louder just before reaching work yesterday (146985 miles). It's blowing just behind the middle silencer up onto the floor. (This mid-section was off the other Jizz so I'll have to work out how long it's been in service.)

Will live with it or splodge it to get it to the weekend.

I saw a 2013 corsa with a blowing exhaust yesterday. They don't make 'em like they used to.

This is 15 years old and still has it original back box. I rewelded it almost 3 years ago and it hasn't broken off again. A mate had 3 aftermarket ones in 5 years!

The mid section went at the weld at the rear flange about 2 years ago, I couldn't be bothered getting the welder out used one off the old car.

It's a good job they don't make them like they used to as they would drop off within 3 years. Original Honda are good for 10-12 in my experience. They claim an average around 8 - they have a lot of stainless in them.

tl;dr Aftermarket eggshorsts are shit.

My 1990 E30 still has it's original exhaust. Only done 60,000 miles though.
