Bought this old shitter off ebay last weekend for £2500, it's a 505 GTD Turbo on 85k miles, drives a lot better than the Merc I just flogged too. I won a toolbox in a roffle on the beige and used the 505 to collect it this morning in Tebay, it was a 7ish hour round trip and the car handled it fine, kept up with modern motorway traffic with ease and returned reasonable fuel economy from the 2.5 turbo diesel engine.

From the years when Peugeots were stylish.

If only German brutalism hadn't taken over.

They have quite a following in some countries and get modified a fair bit.

What are the autos like on Pugs? Our old 505 estate was a great old bus with a manual but I've never driven anything Pug and auto.

Sister in law had a 505GTi in Australia auto box was nice but eventually lost reverse, no idea on the mileage but she would never have checked the oil level either.

The 505's radiator is on its last legs, I tried K-seal which I've had moderate success with in the past but it's still leaking on this. My options seem to be a radiator re-core or buying a manual radiator and fitting a separate oil cooler as manual radiators still seem to be available at £200.

I've driven a couple of auto Peugeots including the 505 and a 205, I think they drive much like most other automatic cars I've driven such as old Mercedes 230e's or 190e's or old Toyotas etc.

In other news, I bought a 2 seater sports car... An MGF.

I am embarrassingly too big for the car and look utterly ridiculous in it so the plan is to drive it for a couple of weeks and raffle it off.

It wasn't very good.

I bought another 305, it turns out it was used as a taxi in the 90's.

I bought an old L200

I got the Camry through an mot, I seem to have invested quite a bit of time in this, I welded up the rear inner arch and inner sill and replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets and studs after having to drill one of them out. I fitted some part worn tyres which cost £35 for the set but they were horrendously shit in the wet so just bought some new tyres from my local fast fit tyre place, the wheels on the Camry are 14" with mega balloon spec 195/70's so there isn't a vast amount of choice. I ended up with some Enduro Runways at £60 each, they seem to do the job.

I got a bit carried away bidding on this on eBay after a few beers, it was fairly local and I had missed out on one a few years back so bid £2k at the start of the auction. I won it for £1141.76 so wasn't too bad really.
It's a Subaru 1600 GLF-5 or Leone in other markets, it's front wheel drive only, hasn't been on the road since 1986.
I've yet to get it running.
