Tempting but I don't think I'll get time. Need to weld the floor up on the Sprint and the weather is looking fair. I've found the winter Haynes meets to have far less interesting cars than the summer ones, so haven't bothered too strongly to go to one.

Well the buyer at 6k seems to want it but can't actually get off his arse and come and see it so I am going to give up selling it for a bit. As usual with this car you sort one thing then more goes wrong. It made it to the Haynes meet but the exhaust mount fell off one of the rear boxes and when I got back here it was missing on 2 cylinders. I pulled the plugs and they are oiled up so looks like the heads are coming off again and it will be rebore time. I just hope that if I do rebore it then it solves some of the other problems namely the hard brake pedal which doesn't seem to be getting much servo assistance. I will wait and see what happens with the election first as it could fuck the exchange rates right up if Corbyn gets in.

But that could be a plus for you as the £ would 'tank' and £6k would be less, probably far less to a European buyer.

Trouble is European buyers are few and far between. The rates have been shit for months due to the indescision of our twat MP's and are only just starting to recover to where they were 3 years ago. If papa snurf gets in the pistons will cost a hell of a lot more to import and the few people who had cash to spend on toys will be planning for the worst. Not spending on shitty old Yank tanks.

Fair enough, as you say they'll be a lot more to worry about in that situation.

Yay the 'turd is about to rape my wallet again. I will drop the block off later for rebore and a clean. Whilst it is stripped I will get the crank cleaned and checked as well. I really should of done a full rebuild last time I had it apart as there was a lot more wrong with it than I thought.

There is about £400 in parts and at least £200 in machining but it will be as new after that. The timing gears are a little fucked and the cam is getting changed as well.. Lets just hope I can get my money back once this little lot is done.

Parts seem a bargain price compared to modern 4 cylinder stuff.....
