Got that.

The radio fuse is in the fusebox in the boot anyway. Oddly though the leccy Ariel fuse is in one of the two fuseboxes under the rear seat kickboards.

I've found a driver's seat frame for £30 on the bay of Es. it doesn't say what type of seat though, I'm trying to confirm if all the seats use the same frame & it's just the foam etc that differs between comfort & sport. I'd assume that'd be the case.

If I can't confirm it I'll probably buy it anyway, they don't seem to come up often as a bare frame and I don't need the other bits that normally make them £100 upwards per seat. Even if it differs it can't be that different surely?

From experience on other marques the seat frame will be the same, not only for cost, but they are designed to withhold a large human in a very impact. Thats means the frame design and fixings are set in stone for the life of the car

That's what I was thinking too, plus it's a lot cheaper to modify foam than the frame. I've had a similar answer on a Jag forum as well.

Annoyingly none of the parts places list the frame to prove it.

Well this isn't happening now, they were selling something they don't have so I've got a refund. The search goes on...

It's about £200 including postage for a seat & I'd rather not do that just to throw most of it away. I could sell a lot of it, but I'd rather not have the hassle of postage etc just to get my money back.

Bargain second hand seat collected today, by the 100% safe method of sitting in an Escrote van driven down a motorway by Bub! We didn't even die once, the van did but rolled into a services before stopping due to lack of fuel. Turns out it runs out just under 1/4 on the gauge.

Tomorrow I shall strip the seats down & build mine onto the replacement frame so it doesn't wobble.
