Iirc you can do 70mph in 3rd or something in these. Above that, basically the gears are to quieten the noise.

It'll go beyond 70 in third. I reckon with a shorter ratio box it would be great fun. 850kg kerb weight.

Prevention better than cure with my £3 car boot sale charger. The water levels are low. Will pre boiled water do or do I have to buy some?

I always think it was a missed opportunity for them not to make a hot VTS/GTi/T-Sport. They had the 1.4 diesel engine in them, so I'm sure a more powerful and larger engine could have been shoehorned into it.

I wonder if any conversions have been done. The 1.6 16v from a saxo vts/106gti would be a laugh.
They were a popular swap in an ax back in the day.

Even a 100bhp 1.4 would have been a blast. The 107/C1/Aygo are a similar weight to the 205 GTi. So 100bhp would have offered similar performance and been a natural successor of a small, lightweight and nimble warm hatch.

Wired the parcel shelf speakers today. One screw achieved this.

Got it all back together and tried it. I certainly didn't forget to plug the aerial back in and have to take it back apart.
Anyone send a link to a removeable plug like this so I can take the shelf out now and then?

They look like the connectors that are in the little red/yellow hanging packets that can be had from motor factors/Halfords/The Range.

Spot on. I'll have a look tomorrow cheers. I was expecting a decent improvement but it's still mediocre. I think it must be down to the head unit. Mass produced shite.

Ooooff, hang on.
