Re: Read any good motors, John?
The Reverend lent me another good book, Turning Back the Clock by Geoff Owen. It is a kind of autobiography by a man who worked in the motor trade all his working life. Very interesting anecdotal accounts of Ford, BMC and Armstrong Siddeley and the people he worked and dealt with.

I also recommend this:
Palmer was just as clever as Issigonis yet was ousted by Len Lord leading to the demise of BMC.

This is a good piece of history.....
A collection of handout newsletters written and illustrated by PoWs in Stalag IVB, using beetroot ink - extremely laboriously I should think.

Re: Read any good motors, John?
I got these two for Christmas. Both really good reads. China was semi famous before he met Brewer and is a really clever bloke.
Rawlings is a proper go getter. He was a paramedic, fireman and cop before the age of twenty five. He's a brilliant business man and money just comes naturally to him.
I'll post them on if anyone wants them.

We have our very own author who graces these pages. Motorpunk who I bought the mx5 off. I've read a few. Good crack.

I enjoyed reading this particularly the first half about the original Mini. The second bit isn't quite as good as there aren't so many fuck ups to tell about (and obv I'm not so interested in the Bini)
