I'm enjoying the Eurosport coverage with no adverts at all.

The commentators have been talking some serious bollocks, somewhat reminiscent of TMS on the radio at times.

Did #7 actually have a problem (slow puncture or whatever) and require the extra pit-stop or was it a conspiracy so that Alonso could win?

I would have preferred it Alonso didn't win the race, they weren't the fastest car, and they got the championship anyway.

I would have preferred it Alonso didn't win the race, they weren't the fastest car, and they got the championship anyway.

#7 did have running problems, also left plumes of smoke, thus needed servicing.

It certainly wasn't a classic Le Mans and Toyota have form for trying to mess with the results and blaming it on technical problems. It was Alonso's last Le Mans so did look like a fix to me and most of the crowd. The French were well happy as Alpine won LMP2 but none of the classes were close at the end. Attendence was well down as well there were fewer grandstands and lots of empty seats. Fingers crossed the new regulations will bring some competion back to it for next year.
