Cheers for the updates and good to hear you're busy.
All those little bits on that Stag should add up to being a very different car all in then?

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
Fucking hell, what happened to the last 2 months! It's nearly pissing June.
Sorry folks, TDW #my favourite forum and only place I post this blog now
As usual yootoob is my video portal for business and public information needs https://www.youtube.com/c/ChurchHouseCl ... ted/videos
But I know Hooli and others don't do dat shit so here is the blog version...
So here we go, first image date stamp 6 April
Bit of a revelation for me but this is where I was back then
Rear goalpost had to come off again because the top rail was too bad to save.
Nice thing about a huge project like this, fucked off with welding and bodywork? rebuild a set of carbs.
It was also a big mistake to juggle this huge project with anything else ! thus I am 2 months behind schedule. Here I am pulling the arse end of the body frame apart, something is not right but I cannot work out what at this point.
I have no reliable basepoint, back of chassis replaced, rear sill chassis points replaced, roof rails of body frame replaced. goalpost crossmember had no reference point when I put it together.....
I have lobbed this image in because no matter how big your workshop is, you trash it in no time at all. Here is it looking tidy and spacious. Now I couldnt swing an anorexic mouse!
Because the bargain v8 that has gone in, is an ex Disco 3.5 EFI unit it does benefit from post 76 heads. I thought that I would add 3.5 twin port exhaust manifolds to improve shit but just ended up making more work for myself.
no pillar drills and only basic tools to recover the threads in this one.
12 April 2021 ! Uncle Boris tells us we can go on a staycation... but etc etc etc etc etc. Chose to visit my poor old dad who I havent seen since early Dec 20. We stayed at a self contained let in Appledore just in case Dom Cumstain wants to trash me too. This was the weather the morning we left, 4 of us in Mrsthestags i10
later that same day, at my favorite drinking establishment (outside of course) and the Pohleese did 2 drive bys to be sure that we were behaving
Nice to see dad again
part 2/4 coming

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
part 2 Fuck you Chinese Communist Party and fuck you WHO
Appledore right next door to Appledore shipyard Long suffering and teetotal wifekins bastad polytunnel blew away back in Feb, this is what was left. North Devon storms are Atlantic strength these two look shit but are matching number 1971 cars, one will be mine. the other will be built to fund it. Lets hope I live long enough Back in the workshop and somewhat exhausted from a 3 day holiday and the associated alcohol consumption. My new welder arrived. Honestly an elephant could lay a decent bead with this beauty. I love it. discovered the alignment issue at on the car, the top of the goalpost is 1cm too far away from the lower crossmember. I need to cut this lot away and do it all again. fuck Project Haggis gets a deep cleanse as I was expecting the owner to turn up that day to collect. waste of tfr as he didn't Here I am welding in a new goalpost top section to the original 1971 goalpost side sections and using the strengthening plates from both new 1990s and old 1971 to get the alignment right. It was bang on. Nice to see that the templates the factory used in 1971 and 1990 still had the spot welds in exactly the same place Top rail done. Now to work out how far away the cross member should be. What a bastard, no published measurements, complex angles to deal with. Only stripping down my dad's car gave me the answer I needed. Bye bye Project Haggis. Owner is delighted. Dvla are being slow at processing UK reg. As I found UK citizen cannot under any circumstances legally drive a non-uk registered car on uk roads... Who the fuck makes this shit up? Part 3 on the way - I need a piss break

That doesn't make sense to me.
What happens if you've lived abroad and are travelling in the UK your foreign registered car, say on a family visit?

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
part three - fuck you Barnier, Von der layonyour fucking back and the rest of them
Had a couple of Gins, can you tell?
finally got it right and now to put it together = a shit load of nonbillable time I sniped this old data processing punchcard cabinet for my engineering needs. perfect but it needs to be at £250. All assembled and both tailgates now fit what happens next? Take it all apart for paint It is bulky but not heavy.. On this image 95% of a post and 95% of b post are original to the car. as is the vent panel on the lhs at the c post. the rest is UOS or new primed, and now seam sealed Topcoated the inner wing area It is coming together - never to come apart again with a customer visit imminent I need to make it look like there has been progress. Even though there has - you and I know that but still Even managed to lobe to paint onto the drivers side inner frame - most of which gets covered in carpet and trim.. Part 4 coming

Roof panel on a Range Rover Classic is the size of a house! Underside first Stripped back and a zinc wash primer applied then ffs lost a load of photos, here is the bodyframe complete and the roof with fresh paint on the topside it might look fabulous bit there is a world of palm dents and stuff for me to deal with. I love my job Then I accidently bought this 140k mile, 6 years off the road, 200ft up the road, 1998 4.6 hse rr p38, for £500
Mrs went fucking nuts! is there someone I can sue? Today, yes today! I am sorting out all the floor panels and outer panels for the passenger side need to go, Mrs has done dinner and I am 4 mins late

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?

Re: Land Rover Rustorashun and other shit
^ WOT he says
Del the Blacksmith has the big daddy version of your welder, single phase, 400 Amps. With 1.2mm wire in it I've had to turn it down when welding 10mm steel as it blows thru He also optioned the 10m extension on the wire feed unit so it's a very useful bit of kit indeed. Hopefully it'll prove reliable as it's not all singing all dancing synergic bollox and you still have control over the settings. https://www.weldingsuppliesdirect.co.uk ... elder.html
Ps. How hung over were you when you agreed to buy that P38 you masochist
