Yes but don’t forget ‘ Special Car Tax’ that was basically a purchase tax of 10% then VAT at the current rate on top .
Cant remember when it was removed , I’m thinking mid 90’s.

Seeing SiC's Foden pic reminds me of my first day at work in the docks....A flatrack container was being loaded to the ship when the rear lashing let go and one of its two cable drums rolled off the flat and across the quay like a giant cotton reel.

My new boss turned to me and said...."There you go, son, something you will probably never see again......Fucking dockers running"
