Oh no what happened ? Did it go to Matthewson's ? I was thinking about sending a couple of my cars there but after checking results they don't actually do that well, probably cos it is Yorkshire.

I broke down. Waited 3.5 hours to get recovered, even though I'd limped to the road where Green Flag's subcontractors are based. I'm fucking FURIOUS.

Probably doesn't help but the lady from the local shop was saying they broke down 8ish Thursday night, gearbox went and car stuck on dual carriageway about 5 miles from home. AA said about an hour, she got a cab back and left husband to wait with the car. AA turned up and moved it off road but couldn't recover it. He had to walk home arriving at 2am car turned up at mid day

I've never had a calliper suddenly seize and seize absolutely. Never ever known it in 20+years of being in the motor trade.

Re: What did you do today?
I occasionally use car boots to get rid of stuff I would otherwise take to the tip. My strategy though is to park up, leave the van locked and have a good mooch round before I deign to get a table out, put a mug of coffee on it and nonchalantly arrange a few items at a time, leaving everything else firmly out of sight.
Anyone that makes no sense in English just gets the fucking brush off.....I really would rather stamp on it.

Re: What did you do today?
The one I go to a Blaydon is rammed with Eastern Europeans, Asians, Africans and Jews. I've seen the cunts haggle 20p off a 50p item. The fuckers can't take no for an answer either.
I've seen the odd seller lose their rag and become very racist indeed. One seller was going to chin this six foot six African. The African was very apologetic and backed right down. Good job for the seller as the African would've killed him.

Re: What did you do today?
I had a Citroen C8 seize all 4 brakes on the M5 just after I bought it. Bloody thing was getting slower and slower and by the time I made it to the services to get off the road the brakes were smoking and the hub caps had started to melt. The cross shaft for the master cylinder was sticking. After waiting 2 hours for a truck to be told it would take another 3 to get to me I tried it again and got home without touching the brakes. Once they cooled down they freed off bloody carsAutoshiteBoy wrote: ↑Sat Jun 19, 2021 10:57 pm I've never had a calliper suddenly seize and seize absolutely. By the time the recovery truck came, it was free. I've still removed the calliper, got the piston pushed back and fitted a new set of pads. I'd have fitted a new calliper if one was available. I'm going to try again today.
