Re: stillOrange's Fiat 133 - feeling the love
There isn't really much at the moment to do on the car which is good but boring.
Can't be waiting any longer for the whole re-registration and so on and so on.
Took the Fiat for it's first Swedish road ride. If the Police stop me and start asking questions I will just be open and hope for their approach to be lenient.

Apologies for the gearbox grinding

Big thank you to TDWs own Drum for helping me out with getting all the paperwork from DVLA. I really appreciate it.
Have a short video as a proof that it still is in working order

Re: stillOrange's Fiat 133 - feeling the love
The import/legalising process is sooooooo fucking slow!
I finally got the local DVLA to agree that there is this thing called Fiat 133 and they have issued me with registration certificate and number.
Looks weird that small plate but square ones are nowadays allowed only on motorbikes.
It was silly how high the number of questions and clarifications I needed to answer or make during the inspection but ended up with only one mark on the sheet.
Even though the car was originally without back seat belts, the Swedish law requires anything produced after 1971 to have them. It must have been some kind of factory option as there were actual mounting holes which made the job very easy.
Now the only thing left is the normal MOT for once and forever. We will see how that goes but before I have to make sure the windscreen washer thingies spray reliably. Or should I just take them off?

Would that be more accurate?stillOrange wrote: ↑Wed Jun 23, 2021 1:02 pm I finally got the Transportstyrelsen to agree that there is this thing called Fiat 133 and they have issued me with registration certificate and number.
Or shall we just call it the STA?

It is indeed called Transportstyrelsen, I just wanted it to be easier to read
From now on I will be only using Swedish terms and names for Swedish things.

Just call it the STA, then when know it isn't local and isn't DVLA.
(I only know that because I was LBFing trailer registrations to work out how old my Combi-Camp was )

Re: stillOrange's Fiat 133 - feeling the love
I honestly don't remember ever seeing a Fiat/Seat 133 in the wild. I've only seen one at a show maybe ten years ago.

Re: stillOrange's crap Harley and shit Fiat
I thought I will put the chopper updates here as well.
Jesus I have been a lazy fucker. The bike starts well and works well in general but I can't enjoy riding it.
When at speed and given some throttle it chokes bad and just looses all power for 2-3 seconds.
So I started where it was easiest, not enough fuel getting in? Fuel filter is in the tank but I can see that it isn't clogged. I was thinking that maybe air holes in the cap are blocked? All blown through.
Checked the plugs and they were rather black so maybe too much fuel then. Played with mix screw on the carb, not much difference when standing so lets take it for a spin right? The bloody home made brake peg cracked and almost fell off...
Luckily I managed to befriend local guy with a welding machine so that was fixed the next day. Terrible construction though so will maybe need to make a new setup during winter period.
Back to the running issues.
Taking the carb apart and cleaning was next on the list of what I can do to fix the issue. The carb installed was not the original one but also of this period, Keihin butterfly from slightly younger model. Simple to tune but not always easy to get kits for them. Plus certain parts like floats are not available any more.
Took it off, opened and I could see that whoever did open it last time couldn't find the right kit or just didn't bother. Gasket fail galore.
Now comes the lazy bit. I had it off and open for a week now but just couldn't get myself to sort it out.
Can someone give me good old kick up the arse? Please? I will pay!
Hope the little sound snippet below works

- I scored very low on the autie test. I’m cheerful, happy, confident, like meeting new people, chatty and largely sociable. What the fuck am I doing on this forum?
