Two wheels good.

Talk about your cars etc here. Keep it sort of sensible and on topic please.

Have you tried draining the carb bowls and then letting them re-fill? Modern fuel goes off really quickly and I had bikes that if left for a WEEK wouldn't start until drained and re-filled. Mad, but true.

CCM dirt bike was the very worst and I used to turn the fuel off and let it run out before it was put away. Wife's bike so what do you expect.

I presume this was when the world was black and white and petrol was very unrefined. 🤣

Don't forget (while you're handing out the insults) the fact that petrol was bought from the chemists and came in glass bottles!

I could say you are a cheeky twat but that's being unkind to 'cheeky twats'!

Modern petrol goes off damn quick due to the ethanol absorbing water from the air.

Another first for me. I have never seen or heard of these bikes.
Look vintage but very complicated if not even over engineered. Beautiful they are.

That's probably the most expensive bike I have ever seen

Its funny how my bikes and cars which have been stood for at least 6 months fire up immediately as does my lawnmower, I don't buy this fuel 'going off' nonsense, it doesn't in my experience.

How can you never have heard of a Vincent? they are probably the most beautiful bike ever made. I'd love one if it wasn't for the cost meaning you could never use it to tour as it was built for.

Well if I won the lottery, I'd have one and a Brough Superior, and ride them everyday.

Some models are still far cheaper than a Lambo or a McLaren and about a million times more interesting. And most modern bikes too, come to that.

I have heard of Comet and Meteor but somehow Vincent part I have missed

I am ashamed...

It looked amazing, I genuinely thought, looking at the mechanics of the bike, that it was relatively modern bike made to look vintage. Even more shame!

If you fancy googling them to know more then search for 'HRD' as well. I forget if that was an earlier or later name & quite how it fits in, but it'll be online.
