Wasn’t the Rio a Dolomite with leccy windows and a security gate for a grille? Someone did something equally as fun with an Accord I think. Even though the Accord already had electric everything

Wasn't that the Avon Acclaim? The arbiters of taste who brought us the XJ Series III estate car?

Re: Wobland Spottage
That Acclaim had a turbo engine didn't it?
If I remember correctly the Jag estate had a R5 hatch as a tailgate.

Lotus Carton was 3.6 straight six with twin turbos from memory.LynehamHerc wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 11:44 amWasn't it about this time that turbos were being added to everything? A Lotus Carlton engine should be powerful enough but might not make the right noises.NergleFuttocks wrote: ↑Wed Sep 01, 2021 10:33 am Thing is though, you could pull up next to a Ferrari 400i or a BMW 850csi (other cracking looking motors IMO) and hold your own. It is genuinely a lovely looking cruiser. I just think it needs more than a 3.0 six up front unless it was half a 512bb engine. I’m sure the sales volume would have paid those kind of development costs!!!! Don’t get me wrong, I’d have one in a heartbeat.

That's what I remember as well, 377hp.
That should be enough for the Nergles of this world I would have thought.

Is that all they had? Doesn't seem as insane these days does it? It's only 7bhp more than my XJR, I wonder how the weights stack up.
