It's the power steering pipes. Dealer only and £340 with labour on top.
It looked pretty easy to do while up on the ramp but what the fuck do I know.
Booked in tomorrow morning.

HP or LP? If LP could just put a bit of hose and clamps on the section that is leaking.

Re: What did you do today?
From what I saw they looked like 12mm rigid aluminium. He reckons he's done ten sets this year. He showed me how the cv joint at the gearbox end would be spinning and flicking the rain, gravel and shit directly on to it. Another really nice design feature I thought.
I can't really do with it off the road so he's doing it tomorrow morning.

Bought Number 1 son a Hilka 10 tonne press for his birthday (end of this month). £270 but I believe Hilka is a 'good' make?
I seem to always get asked for tools for his birthday and always bloody expensive ones... the little shit!

Isn't that a signal he wants to take over doing repairs to your vehicle's?

Sadly he lives 200 miles away or I'd make him! When I first broke my back I used to sit in a chair and supervise my WIFE doing repairs to my and her cars and the bikes. She even did a thread on a bike mag/forum on how to repair and overhaul the brakes on an XT250 Yamaha. Lots of picks of pretty longhaired blonde in scruffy clothes and covered in grease and oil.DodgeRover wrote: ↑Fri Sep 03, 2021 9:05 pmIsn't that a signal he wants to take over doing repairs to your vehicle's?
She could and would do anything so long as she had someone to oversee what she was doing, only once did she fuck something up big time and that was the remote housing for the spin-on oil filter on our MGB which once started dumped 2 litres in about 5 seconds all over the garage carpet!
