IIRC didn't they blame the extra weight of the passenger being the cause of that happening? The car hit the stops in the compression and it unsettled the car, it was ok with the driver alone?NorfolkNWeigh wrote: ↑Sun Sep 12, 2021 12:04 pmI think that was a journalist or someone from Subaru that didn’t realise how close to death he was.

Can someone that’s not a technocripple put a link to Mark Higgins almost shitting his pants but performing the greatest save ever seen on in-car camera . Just watch how fast his hands move on that wheel.

He should demand that bit of road gets resurfaced.

That Transit windscreen would be worth taking out (think it's a Hawson) - coachbuilt stuff is hen's teeth to replace.

Guess what? Itchy trigger finger again. Not helped by some inheritance finally coming through and burning a hole in my pocket.
Quite tempted by this and it's been on a few times. The seller seems a bit of a twazz but he might just be fezzed off by all the eBay idiots. Does seem a bit of a project, so really shouldn't. Plus to me it seems a lot of money still. Also quite fancy a Spitfire in red - another bucket list car.

What I really should buy is Guest MX5....
(If Paul still had his for sale I'd have bought that already)

Rapidly firing towards maximum vehicular saturation. Whereby one person has more cars than they can conceivably use/maintain simultaneously so they all start to deteriorate.
I can only keep two nice. That's why I have four.
1976 Triumph Dolomite 1850HL - Field based greenhouse.
1977 Triumph Dolomite 1300 - Lean green oil dripping machine.
1983 Triumph Acclaim L - Japanglish daily runner.

Yeah I find six is my natural maximum. Even then, every car needs something sorting. I've learnt when owning multiple cars that it's not possible to keep every car 100% sorted and not all have to be on the road. Especially when a lot of it is DIY.captain_70s wrote: ↑Tue Sep 14, 2021 7:09 pmRapidly firing towards maximum vehicular saturation. But keep having thousand pound monthly cc bills that do get a bit grating after a bit. There is always something that needs sorting or paying for. I dread to think what the big fleet owners (6cyl, et Al) bills are like. Thankfully I've managed to pretty much cover my purchase+maintenance costs on most stuff I've bought/sold recently, which lessens the pain a bit.
Problem is, there is always something else that catches my eye and I have very poor self control. Its especially when the black dog starts biting that I end up buying something. Thankfully I don't have a barn and I have a wife that sets me limits, otherwise it would get completely out of control.
