Re: Pug 107 minus mx5 plus Audi A8
Fixed the bonnet and warning light on this today in the pissing rain. It turns out the driver's side bonnet catch wasn't quite engaged. A quick pop and a slam rectified it. Free fix ftw.

So a near death experience motivated you to get off your arse and fix it?

Nah. I just hadn't driven it since the warning popped up a week or two ago. She's put 400 miles on it though and never mentioned it.

The van hit a milestone today with 50k now on the clocks.
It's only took two engines, gearbox rebuild, clutch, flywheel, ignition barrel, passenger leaf spring, drivers door hinges, drivers wing and respray, ancillary battery, power steering pipes, sump and that's all I've got from the top of my head.

So when are you going to trade it in for a Mk2 Transit and go back to having a decent van?

The rust would give me the fear.
My first work van was a B reg mk2 and bright orange. I remember getting in one morning and the step just crumbled away as I stood on it.

A full restoration would probably cost less than the list you just have though..... Whoever did it would probably have a reliable courtesy van to run about in too
