Re: Wobland Spottage
Still miss my 260E. No fireball, certainly not as quick as my W123 280E but a nice distance car and with that ride quality that you just don't get from the smaller Mercs. I liked the basic inside - like a properly-built Mk2 Granada.

TBH the only thing I'd have added to my 260e was aircon, didn't need any of the other pish but that'd have been nice in the summer.

Re: Wobland Spottage
No pics cos driving and phones-a-phone. Etc.
One fairly long local lane leading to a part of the Forest where Mrs Rocker and I like to take an afternoon stroll, about 2 miles from the house and in itself a mile long.
Passed in the opposite direction - Bedford OB Dropside, very wet and clean presumably just been washed, followed shortly afterwards by a Morris JB. This one was very shabby and is well-known locally. Hadn't seen the Bedford before, it was on a Glasgow registration although that is fairly meaningless as it may well have been a reissue.
Also not seen before although I've passed the house countless times - a very shabby A35 with, bizarrely, a surfboard on the roof. Oh dear. I hope this is not indicative of a new trend.
