Life of Riley. It must be nice.
£950 all in though which is cheaper than I thought. I did ask him to drop it off. He said he couldn't tonight but would at ten tomorrow.

Bit harsh to put diesel in your son's scooter. Is this why it's having problems?

Re: What did you do today?
Popped down to Barnstaple, with middle son, to collect this
An American cantilever dolly, very similar, but heavier, to the Phoenix verssion.
I wanted a lorry, but sense prevailed- the kids won’t use it to shift metal, even if legal.
They hate A frames ( attaching the chains, and not understanding Ackerman etc, so I looked to make it a simple as poss.
We’ll see how that goes…
Anyway, it’s a big heavy bugger, rough as hell but it’ll shine/ clean up ok, and the fundamentals are sound.
Happy days

Re: What did you do today?
Sold the Ford Kuga today I bought it thinking it would be easier for my dad to get in and out of but it wasn't. It is an incredibly boring car so I was quite happy when a customer asked if I knew of an SUV type thing for sale. Made a few quid on it and get a Peugeot 407 as a part ex. He is happy with the low ball 50 quid offer for the Pug as it is a non runner at the moment. It also seems some Welsh cunt had made up the service history on the Kuga as the filters were in a right state considering it was supposed to of been serviced 2k miles and 4 months ago.

Re: What did you do today?
They're good. I've bought a couple, but then I dropped on them selling 2Ah batteries and the charger for a fiver. I've also got gas powered and several mains ones (and if I go looking, my dad's old stick it in the gas ring on the cooker one) as well. Dead useful the battery ones.

Re: What did you do today?
Getting a bit irritated trying to buy this MG Midget now.
I was the highest bidder on eBay but didn't hit reserve and I didn't bother bidding much more as I thought reserve would be too far away. I messaged after asking what the reserve was and my phone number to contact me.
Had a chat on the phone and turned out £200 more than my max bid (FFS) as he'd reduced the reserve. He was glad it didn't hit reserve as he thought it was too cheap at that price and rather keep it. Anyway I threw a curve ball and said "would you sell for the original reserve?". He said he'd get back to me as he joint owned it with his son and needed to ask him too.
That was on Saturday and Monday evening I got an email to say he would sell. I replied that I'd like to go ahead and send me your details so I can arrange transport. Didn't hear anything.
Wednesday evening I got a miss call and voicemail saying that he's presuming I wasn't interested. I phoned back Thursday morning saying I definitely am and presumably he didn't receive my email. Apparently as he didn't get a response, his automatic assumption was I wasn't interested and he decided to keep again.
Anyway I reiterated I was interested and I'd resend my email. He had to speak to his son again to check...
It's two days now and I've not heard anything again. Going to give him another call in a bit when I get a bit of time today.
Why do I always get the bloody awkward ones?!
