I did a bit on the Moggie wing about two weeks ago. It had several layers of sanding/filler but completely stalled.
Real work has been super busy and has sucked up some of my evenings. Others destroyed by still having the covid exhaustion giving me a kicker.
This got me thinking about what Nibblet mentioned a few weeks back on how reducing/eliminating made a big difference to him. If I did, apart from storage, I'd cut back on maintenance/insurance/etc expenditure. But how much would I save...?
So I'm now auditing my CC and debit card bills (mistake?). From an initial quick scan, I think some big changes to my fleet may be coming in soon. I.e. getting rid of most.
Parts, servicing, road tax, insurance, storage and transportation comes to just over 12 grand. That's not including purchase cost of cars which is a tad more complicated to work out. Nor does it include fuel.

It's your hobby. How will you fill your time?
Well that is (probably) a decent amount of coke and hookers...
Something is going to have to change. That's quite a lot of money to anyone. Doesn't help them being a time thief and I end up being a slave to them.
Welcome to my world I have spent over 10k so far this year and still only have one classic on the road and that only had a couple of hundred so far this year. It does include buying 2 cars though that should return me 15k plus when / if they get sold.
Don't go adding this shit up is my advice......You didn't spend the 12K all in one go. It's like adding up your earnings over 5 years and wondering why there's fuck all left. I subsist on a pissy little company pension and shouldn't really be contemplating an attempt on running five motors. On paper I can't even fully afford the Focus but somehow it works out.
There's a great long bar in Rock & Roll heaven.......
