1850 is arguably the thinking man's Sprint.
Still, is it the right car for Ghosty?
I think not.

Has an autobox, it is older than him and is British. Ticks all the usual boxes he likes.

That's the problem.
If he were normal, he'd like this.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/264424202788
It would match his shirts much better, too.

If it really must be an auto estate (fuck knows why).
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/202753310027
It'd leave enough change to get a shagpad and has enough space to do the move.

Re: Out of Jap Tat : a spectral fleet thread
Ah, but it's the HL that's a thinking man's Sprint. And I hate Pageant Blue, it cheapens the looks.
The GTV is nice and I know how comfy it'd be, but again it's not me somehow. Shame auto Alfas have awful sillyspeed gearboxes.
It doesn't have to be an estate, and having tried one I don't like XMs. I prefer the BX.

Why are you looking at Granada Ghia estates then?

Or he was normal, he'd still have that MX5 and retrofitting a manual box while figuring out how to put a R53 Mini based supercharger kit on it. Then learning how to not interface with the scenery.

Re: Out of Jap Tat : a spectral fleet thread
HL is only the trim level. All slant-4 Dolomites effectively came as HL (only badged as HL around 1974 on).
Re: Out of Jap Tat : a spectral fleet thread
More prevalent and nicer styling IMO.
